Goldsboro Alum Reed Signs New Deal With Seahawks

SEATTLE — Goldsboro High School graduate Jarran Reed signed a new three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Details of the contract were first reported by ESPN.

The contract is worth up to $25 million.

Reed, 32, recorded 4 1/2 sacks, five tackles for loss, and a forced fumble in 17 games with Seattle last season.

A nine-year NFL veteran, Reed is in his second stint with Seattle, after being drafted by the Seahawks in the second round out of the University of Alabama in 2016.

Reed played his first five seasons in Seattle, before playing one season in Kansas City, followed by one season in Green Bay.

He returned to Seattle in 2023.

Reed has played in 139 career games with 388 tackles, 38 1/2 sacks, eight forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries.
