March 7, 2025, 78, Winston-Salem — Judith Darwin Terry, 78, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Atrium Health – Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem. Born in Galveston, Texas on September 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Kennerly and Betty Jo Peacock Darwin.
In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip Darwin and Bill Darwin.
Judith is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bill Terry; son, Trent Terry; brother, Doug Darwin; and niece, Amber Davis.
Judith was a dedicated and faithful member of St. Paul Methodist Church in Goldsboro. She enjoyed gathering with her church family to worship her Lord. Judith worked for many years as a Speech Pathologist in the Albany Public School System in Georgia.
Judith found great joy spending time with her friends and loved ones. She was a member of a local support group that she cherished as they made a positive impact in her life.
Judith was a talented cook and skilled baker. She received great satisfaction in providing meals for her family and friends alike. Judith loved shopping for clothing, getting her nails done, and perfecting her makeup. When you saw her you knew she took great pride in being “put together.”
A service to celebrate Judith’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in the sanctuary of St. Paul Methodist Church with Rev. James Harry officiating. A reception and time of fellowship will follow the service.
