Oldcastle APG’s Adams manufacturing site is hosting its 43rd annual Top Trowel and Line Burner Contest from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday in partnership with the Eastern and Raleigh chapters of the N.C. Masonry Contractors Association (NCMCA) on Friday, at 2084 NC Hwy 70.
More than 100 students from 10 high schools in the region will put their skills to the test for a chance to win bragging rights and cash prizes totaling more than $7,500 based on individual and team performance.
Masonry projects will be judged by local contractors and NCMCA members based on speed and skills.
Oldcastle APG is proud to host this event alongside the SkillsUSA Regional Rally & Masonry Industry Educational Showcase, which provides education and career opportunities in the masonry industry and other skilled trade professions.
