On Mar. 10, at approximately 10:14 pm, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office received an “armed suspect” call at the Noz Gas and Grill store located at 4453 US Hwy. 117-S Alt., Dudley.
During the investigation, it was determined that two separate parties, consisting of four people, agreed to meet at
this location in the parking lot to conduct a drug transaction.
During the drug transaction, a disturbance began, which led to multiple firearms being brandished.
After the disturbance was over and as one of the parties began to disperse in the motor vehicle they arrived in, Chase Andrew Hare, 21, 2502 – D Pikeville-Princeton Rd., Pikeville, discharged a handgun in their direction.
As a result of the weapon being discharged, the driver of the vehicle, Qua’ron Faison, was struck by one of the fired rounds, which led to him succumbing to his injury.
Hare was charged with murder, selling marijuana, discharging a firearm into an occupied motor vehicle, and attempting to discharge a firearm into an occupied motor vehicle.
He received no bond.
This investigation is ongoing at this time.
