FREMONT — Beautiful weather and a large crowd set the scene for the 37th annual Fremont Daffodil Festival on Saturday.

An estimated crowd of 20,000 turned out for the festival.

The day began with the Keith Stewart Memorial Daffodil Dash and a flyover from the Bullseye Flight Team.

Band of Oz, NorthBound Worship, FatMouth, and Jimmy Deve provided entertainment.

Children from Fremont Elementary School and Fremont United Methodist Church, along with Goldsboro School of Ballet and bands from Norwayne Middle School also performed.

The Daffodil Festival also featured a children’s area with inflatables with proceeds benefitting the Charles B. Aycock High School Deca Clubs, a car show with the Wayne County Cruisers, the Eastern Carolina Vintage Farm Equipment Club, and NC Party Pals.

Food trucks offering a wide variety of options lined the streets of downtown Fremont, and 165 vendors were on hand.
