A shooting on Edgerton Street on Friday night in Goldsboro that left two men dead has been determined to be a murder-suicide.
On Friday at approximately 10:53 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to 1104 Edgerton Street to investigate a domestic dispute and shooting.
On arrival, officers found Antrell Lamont Carlton 42, and Rondray Darnell Gooding, 45, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
A female resident fled the residence without injuries and called 911.
Upon further investigation into the incident, it was determined that during a domestic dispute with the female resident, Carlton forced entry into the residence, where he then shot Gooding.
Carlton then took his own life.
This is considered an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.
