GOLDSBORO, N.C. – The Wayne County Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the WCPS Central Services Boardroom, located at 2001 E. Royall Avenue, Goldsboro. The meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. with a closed session, followed by the open session.
During the meeting, the Board is set to review and discuss several key topics, including:
- First Reads of New or Revised Policies, such as:
- Policy 5120 – Relationship with Law Enforcement
- Policy 7625 – Local Supplement for Teachers, Media Coordinators, Guidance Counselors, or Other Certified and Certain Non-Certified Personnel
- Policy 8305 – Federal Grant Administration
- Policy 9125 – Participation by Minority Businesses
- Information Items:
- Updates on JROTC expansion and applications
- Presentation of the Superintendent’s Proposed Budget for FY 2025-2026
The Board will also take action on several proclamations honoring special observances, including:

- School Library Media Month
