Top Junior Golfers Shine at Lane Tree in Visit Goldsboro NC Junior Championship

Goldsboro, NC – The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) returned to Lane Tree Golf Club for the second annual Visit Goldsboro NC Junior Championship, welcoming 78 elite junior golfers from 15 states and eight countries. The 54-hole stroke-play tournament, held April 4-6 following a qualifier on April 3, featured boys and girls ages 12–19. Among the competitors, Mount Olive’s Ryley Herring finished 50th.

In the Girls Division, Alexandra Snyder of Orlando, Florida, captured her second AJGA title with an impressive 5-under-par 211. Snyder totaled 12 birdies over three rounds, including a bogey-free 3-under back nine in the opening round and a standout 4-under 68 in round two to surge up the leaderboard.

Grayson Baucom of Hickory, North Carolina, claimed the Boys Division title with a 7-under-par 209, marking his third AJGA win. He recorded an eagle on hole No. 14 in round one and tallied 13 birdies during the event, including a bogey-free final back nine.

The tournament showcased 25 North Carolina natives and 20 college commits, highlighting a bright future for junior golf in the region.
