Goldsboro – A welfare check on April 8 led to the discovery of a deceased individual in the 2300 block of E Ash Street. The Goldsboro Police Department responded with EMS, but sadly, the person was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations are still underway, and the identity was initially unknown.

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Richard Jamal Starke from Goldsboro. While foul play is not suspected at this time, authorities continue to investigate.
