Bobbie Mills Holton beloved mother of April and Timmy passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
Bobbie attended Nursing School at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston and her nursing career provided her so much joy. She was able to touch so many lives and will be fondly remembered for her years as a nurse and teacher.
Bobbie loved her grandchildren fiercely and always ended conversations with I love you bigger because I am bigger.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Timothy Lawrence Holton and is survived by her daughter April Holton DeSelms (Chad), grandchildren, Alyse DeSelms Fowler (James), CJ DeSelms and Addison DeSelms and Vicki DeSelms (April’s mother in law) all of Goldsboro who will never forget the love and light she brought to their lives.
The family would like to thank the kind, caring and loving staff at Helping Hands Assisted Living facility for all the love and care they poured into her and the family. The family would also like to thank the staff with Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate care provided to her.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 10 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate Bobbie’s life will be held at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Helping Hands Assisted Living Facility at 2052 US Hwy 70 W Business, Goldsboro, NC. 27530.
