Michael “Mike” Trujillo, 79, of Dudley passed away on Saturday at his residence. Born in Paris France, to the late Charles Apodaca Trujillo and Renee Lamalle Trujillo and is the husband of Dorothy “Dottie” Trujillo. Mr. Trujillo was a decorated retired Marine Corps veteran, that proudly served his country for 20 plus years including two tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and riding the golf car with Little Girl and Ivy. He was a true lifetime dedicated Nebraska Corn Huskers fan. Most of all he loved his family and any reason to celebrate with them.

A service to celebrate the life of Mike will be held Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Horne officiating. Committal services will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Trujillo is survived by his children, Michael Trujillo and wife, Hellka of Clayton, Michelle Thornton and husband, Billy of Kenly, Christian Kirby and fiancé, Gem Manongsong of Dudley, and Steven Zulker, and wife, Julie of Asheville; a sister, Alice Alnet and husband, Patrick of Paris, France; a brother-in-law, Gerald Brungard; grandchildren, Kimberly, Joseph, and Sarah Thornton; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was also preceded in death by a brother, Charlie F. Trujillo and sister, Renee Brungard.
