Orman Merrill Henderson, Jr., affectionately known as Buddy, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, at UNC Rex Health Care in Raleigh at the age of 75. Buddy was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend to all that he met.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Thomas Henderson; children, Shena Westbrook, Jeff Henderson, Jason Henderson and wife Robin; grandchildren, Gia Santillana, Rayna Santillana, Olivia Henderson, Aiden Henderson; sister, Tina Stevens and husband Marty; and brother, Andrew Bass and wife Wendy. Buddy will be remembered for his kind spirit, strong work ethic, and love of football.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place Friday, April 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Pikeville Cemetery.

His memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.
