Wayne County Chamber of Commerce Career Expo & Job Fair was Successful

GOLDSBORO, NC – Thursday, job seekers and local businesses came out together for the 2025 Career Expo & Job Fair, hosted by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce. Local high schools encouraged their sophomores, juniors, and seniors to come out and explore a variety of 16 career clusters that attend the Career Expo & Job Fair.

The Director of Events and Advocacy at Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, Will Collins highlighted and voiced some key components as to why the Career Expo & Job Fair is important to the future workers in Goldsboro. “We want the students to have the opportunity to meet their future employers.”  Will said, “Although there are other job fairs around the community, we stress this particular opportunity to get students face-to-face with the work enforcement.”

The Career Expo & Job Fair has been hosted once a year around the time when schools are coming to a close, in partnership with Wayne County Public Schools. “10th graders are thinking about 11th grade, and so on and so forth,” Will said, “keeping that in mind, we found that this is a good time while they’ve got their next career in mind.”
