Goldsboro Businesses Being Honored for Outstanding Workplace Safety

Goldsboro, N.C. – A group of select Goldsboro-area businesses will be honored this week for their dedication to workplace safety at the North Carolina Department of Labor’s annual Safety Awards Banquet.

The banquet, which will take place on Wednesday, April 16 from noon to 2 p.m., will be held at the Walnut Creek Country Club, 508 Lake Shore Drive, Goldsboro.

Labor Commissioner Luke Farley will give the keynote presentation, highlighting the importance of job safety and the amazing improvements area employers and workers have experienced in creating safer workplaces. The awards luncheon, sponsored in conjunction with the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, honors companies that have achieved exemplary safety records and whose record reflects a proactive approach toward the prevention of workplace sickness and injury.

Yearly, business leaders, safety specialists, and government officials join together for the annual banquet in their shared commitment to building North Carolina workplaces among the safest in the nation.
