Community Gathers for a Cause at Fundraiser Hosted by Communities Supporting Schools of Wayne County

Goldsboro. NC — Thursday, April 17, at the Firehouse on East Ash Street buzzed with excitement that evening as supporters gathered for a special fundraising event hosted by Communities Supporting Schools of Wayne County Inc. The evening featured an engaging mix of beverages, appetizers, a reverse raffle, and a silent auction offering a variety of large, thoughtfully curated gift baskets.

The event brought together community members, educators, and local leaders, all united by a common goal: supporting students in Wayne County. “The mission of Communities Supporting Schools of Wayne County is to provide opportunities for students to stay in school, graduate and be successful in life,” Selena Bennett The Executive Director of  Communities Supporting Schools of Wayne County Inc. said.

The reverse raffle added an extra layer of excitement, with attendees anxiously awaiting for their numbers to not be drawn, while the silent auction stirred friendly competition over themed gift baskets donated by individuals within the community.
