Goldsboro, NC — Excitement is building in Wayne County as United Way prepares to host its 26th Annual Founder’s Cup Golf Tournament at Walnut Creek Country Club on April 25. This year, a spectacular hole-in-one prize is raising the stakes: an all-expense-paid couple’s getaway to Sandals Resort, sponsored by Mallory Dumond, Travel Agent – Travelmation.

United Way’s Resource Development Director, Savannah Lambert, shared the organization’s goal to elevate the tournament experience year after year. “Every year we strive to improve the tournament experience for our teams from the previous year, and this year is no exception,” Lambert said.

The luxurious Sandals vacation will be awarded to any golfer who lands a hole-in-one on the 9th hole—a 165-yard shot that could turn a great day of golf into an unforgettable trip.

“We couldn’t be more excited about another collaboration with Dumond and Travelmation, and we hope the players are as thrilled as we are,” said Sherry Archibald, Executive Director of United Way of Wayne County. “We know when each team drives up to the course on April 25 and sees the sign with their dream getaway sitting on the 9th hole, they won’t be able to wait to get out on the green!”

The Founder’s Cup has become a cherished annual event in the community, blending friendly competition with a meaningful cause. All proceeds go toward supporting local United Way programs and projects aimed at improving lives and creating lasting change across Wayne County.
