Goldsboro, NC — Monday, April 21, The City of Goldsboro is continuing to prove that community care goes far beyond city services. This January, the city and its employees made a heartfelt contribution of $7,539.60 to UNC Health Children’s, supporting vital programs aimed at improving children’s health across Eastern North Carolina.
The donation will directly benefit UNC Health Children’s and its mission to deliver world-class, family-centered care. Through its comprehensive C.A.R.E. initiative—which focuses on Clinical Care, Advocacy, Research, and Education—UNC Health Children’s ensures that all children, regardless of financial circumstances, have access to advanced medical treatment close to home.
The funds were raised through the Benefits That Benefit Children campaign, a national cause-marketing program supported by Pierce Insurance and National Benefit Partners. The campaign partners with organizations such as Chubb, LifeLock, Legalease, and others to raise funds by offering voluntary employee benefits.
