Mount Olive, NC – It’s time to get your pickle on! The Town of Mount Olive is gearing up for one of its biggest weekends of the year as the NC Pickle Festival rolls into town, presented by Mt. Olive Pickle, the Town of Mount Olive, and Southern Bank.
From Thursday through Saturday, April 24–26, downtown Mount Olive will be transformed into a vibrant hub of community spirit, tangy fun, and family-friendly activities — all with a distinct dill flair.
Friday Highlights (April 25, 5 PM–10 PM)
Friday night kicks off with unlimited carnival rides from 5–9 PM for just $15 — a perfect way to start the weekend. Music lovers can head over to R&R Brewing for an outdoor concert featuring the high-energy band Spare Change from 7–10 PM.
As the sun sets, things really start glowing with the Cuke Patch 5K Glow Run at 7:30 PM, starting at Westbrook Park and ending at R&R Brewing, lighting up the streets with runners decked out in neon and sparkle.
Saturday Spectacle (April 26, 9 AM–6 PM)
Saturday is packed from sunrise to sundown, kicking off with the Tour de Pickle Bike Ride at 9 AM, followed by the ever-popular and delightfully outrageous Pickle Eating Contest at Noon. Bring your best brine-loving outfit for Ollie’s Costume Contest at 1:30 PM.
The downtown area will be brimming with excitement — live entertainment, beer and wine garden, helicopter rides, food trucks, vendors, petting zoo, carnival rides, and even rides on the Pickle Train. Oh, and did we mention the free pickles?
