Over 1,000 Duke Energy Progress customers in Goldsboro are without power this morning as heavy storm make their way through Wayne County.  According to the Duke Energy website, 1,287 customers are without electricity in the heart of Goldsboro.  The outage extends north and south along a major portion of Elm Street.  The outage was first reported around 8:15 AM.  As of now, Duke Energy expects to have power restored by approximately 11:15 AM.
