Julie Carol Best Swift, 59, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at her home. Born in Wayne County on September 19, 1960, she was the daughter of Parma Lee Best and the late James Edwin Best.

Carol worked as a care giver and lived up to that title. Nothing was better to her than to provide love and care to her patients. For Carol, God was number one, followed by her family, and then her patients.

A private service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2020 with Rev. Ira Williford officiating.

In addition to her mother, Carol is survived by her husband of 11 years, Paul Swift; sons, Christopher Hefner and Alexander Jackson and fiancée, Jaime Criswell; granddaughter, Alexandria; sister, Vickie Deans and husband, Elvis; nephew, Eric Crumpler; and niece, Amber Hancock.
