Two more people have died from the coronavirus in Wayne County.

According to the Wayne County Health Department, the first individual passed away on Friday, was in their early-70s and had underlying medical conditions.  The second person passed away Sunday, was in their mid-70s and also had underlying medical conditions.  The current total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the county is 25.

As of Tuesday afternoon’s update from Wayne County Government, there have been 1,682 positive cases of COVID-19 recorded in Wayne County.  It’s believed 1,196 of those cases have already recovered, leaving an estimated 461 active cases of coronavirus in the county at this time.
