On July 2nd, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a report of an inappropriate relationship between a 14-year-old female and 26-year-old Jacobo D. Berrios of Goldsboro. During the course of the investigation, it was reportedly determined that the juvenile and Berrios had engaged in vaginal intercourse.  As a result of the investigation, Berrios was arrested and charged with one count of Statutory Rape of a Child Less Than 15.  His bond was set at $100,000 secured.
