As of Friday, the Wayne County Health Department has received notification of 2,324 total positive cases of COVID-19. 98 of these cases are attributed to congregate living facilities and 1,774 are cases from outside any type of congregate facility. 2,081 of the 2,324 individuals who tested positive are now considered recovered, leaving an estimated total of 206 cases that are currently active in Wayne County.

The Health Department received notice of one additional death this week. The individual was in their mid-fifties with underlying medical conditions. This death was not attributed to a congregate care facility. The total number of deaths in Wayne County is currently 37.
