A Wayne County traffic stop leads to drug charges. On August 12th, deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office pulled a vehicle over for fictitious registration plates. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, the deputies reported found cocaine, heroin and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. 58-year-old Kenneth A. Barnhorst of Monroe, NC, was arrested for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Barnhorst received a $2,500 secured bond and he was turned over to the Wayne County Detention Center for booking.
