(NORTH CAROLINA NEWS NETWORK) — The Labor Day holiday weekend is upon us and with the pandemic in effect, that will change the way we celebrate.
Governor Roy Cooper is easing COVID-19 restrictions to reopen gyms, fitness centers, museums and bowling alleys this Friday.
State Medical Director Betsy Tilson tells ABC11 it’s commendable that North Carolina has made progress moving into Phase 2.5, but she warns that we need to stay vigilant because of how quickly this virus spreads.
She says traditional family gatherings will need to be adjusted.
Tilson says it’s fine to gather with friends and family but in small numbers, staying socially distant, wearing masks and washing your hands.
