The North Carolina Pickle Pageant, under the direction of Desiree Autrey House, was held Saturday afternoon in the auditorium at the Wayne County Museum. The pageant was held at two different times to stay in compliance with the COVID-19 requirements regarding crowds and masks. The second half of the pageant got underway at 6 p.m. and was over by about 9:30 that evening. This pageant is usually held before the N.C. Pickle Festival that is held toward the end of April.
