After a month of playing in empty gyms, there will finally be some fans in the stands.
The N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association recently amended its policy this week to allow a limited number of fans to attend games.
Wayne Country Day and Wayne Christian are NCISAA members.
According to a statement from the NCISAA, a maximum of two legal guardians for senior athletes of the home team will be allowed to attend the game.
The two fan rule applies to every sport, including football.
According to the NCISAA, during games, fans have to stay six feet away from each other except for family members, and face coverings are mandatory while entering and leaving the stadium or gym.
It is up to the home team whether or not to allow fans to attend.
