Around 5:45 PM on Saturday, Goldsboro Police Officers responded to the 1100 block of Olivia Lane to investigate the sound of gunfire. The responding officers found the victim, 52-year-old Kenneth Raiford of Goldsboro, near the location with a single gunshot wound to the chest.  Raiford was transported by EMS to Wayne UNC Healthcare for treatment.

UPDATE: Around 11 AM Sunday, the Goldsboro Police Department confirmed Raiford had passed away. 

The Goldsboro Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident.
