Wayne Country Day’s Ja’Kea Bruson erupted for 31 points, and the Chargers rolled past Freedom Christian 77-30.
Kimora Cox added 15 points for the Chargers, while Carleigh Greiman knocked down eight points. The Chargers (2-2 overall) next host Wayne Christian (3-0) on Friday.
“We played well against Freedom Christian, and we played really good defense,” Wayne Country Day head coach Maurice Jones said. “We played really good half-court defense and we rebounded the ball well, and I think our rebounding and limiting their shots were the keys in this game.”
