Brightening the day for senior citizens in the midst of the pandemic.

That was an act of community service coordinated by the United Way of Wayne County during the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday this week.

As part of its Day of Service activities in honor of MLK Day, volunteers through the United Way of County paid a visit to the residents of Brookdale Senior Living on Country Day Road.

The Brookdale visit was in addition to the United Way’s effort to get residents donating blood for the American Red Cross last week.
