(NORTH CAROLINA NEWS NETWORK) — For now, a 10 pm to 5 am curfew remains in effect across the state, and the pandemic continues to hit the hospitality industry hard.
But, what happens when more people are vaccinated and the crisis eases.
Have people’s habit changed permanently?
Lynn Minges with the North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association told WPTF/NCN that everyone is eager to get back to normal.
Minges says there is plenty of pent up demand, and she’s not too concerned about once the future of the industry will look like once people are ready to resume their normal lifestyles.
Minges noted that restaurants are adapting by providing more to go options, but that hotels and motels cannot recover the lost revenue from unused hotel nights.
