Three Wayne Country Day basketball players were recently named to the NCISAA’s All-State teams.
Jaden Cooper and Mike Best were selected to the NCISAA’s 2A boys’ all-state team, while Ja’Kea Brunson was named the NCISAA girls’ 2A all-state team.
Both Wayne Country Day’s boys and girls basketball teams reached the NCISAA 2A semifinals this season.
Cooper averaged 17.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Best averaged 17.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 7.5 assists and two steals per game.
Brunson averaged 22.7 points, three rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals per game.
