On March 16th, a case of possible child abuse was reported to the Goldsboro Police Department by the Wayne County Department of Social Services. A 2-month-old infant had been treated at Wayne UNC Health Care for lacerations to the face. It was later discovered the infant also had several bone fractures. The investigation led to a warrant being secured on 22-year-old Talisha Taylor of Goldsboro for Felony Child Abuse with Serious Physical Injury and Negligent Child Abuse with Serious Physical Injury. Taylor was arrested on Thursday. She was confined at the Wayne County Jail under a $50,000 secure bond.
