More of North Carolina is waiting for some significant rainfall.

According to this week’s map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, drought conditions have spread north into the central and eastern areas of our state.

Wayne, Lenoir and surrounding counties area are now listed as being in “Moderate Drought.”
