Robert Gause, age 48, passed away Wednesday morning at Wayne/UNC Healthcare. Born in Newport News, Va., he was the son of the late Elizabeth “Libby” B. Taylor.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.

Robert is survived by his wife, Gena Madden Gause; daughter, Shelby Madden; sons, Dustin Madden and Joshua Brunner; grandchildren, Damilia Madden and Jaxson Madden; brother, Chris Gause; Dad, Donald Madden; sister, Missy Williams; special nephew, Michael Hogel and special niece, DawnMarie Mills.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals, 123 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27517.
