Around 10:30 PM on Monday, Kinston Police Department officers responded to a call of a person who was shot in the area of the 700 block of Harding Avenue. The preliminary investigation revealed that one man was shot while in the front yard of the residence by an unknown assailant(s). Despite life saving measures, 22-year-old Terrence Plymouth of Kinston, died at the scene. The assailant(s) fled the area in an unknown direction. The KPD says this is still an active investigation.
