Approximately 17,000 students are attending Wayne County Public Schools to start the new school year. 

85 students are receiving virtual instruction through WCPS this year due to demonstrated need. 

WCPS says the enrollment figures for the 2021-2022 school year are expected to grow in the coming days, which is typical every year.
