C.B. Aycock handed South Johnston a 5-4 loss in 3A Quad County Conference play on Tuesday afternoon.
McKenzie Millard, Courtney Howell, and Allie Wall all won their singles matches. Millard won her match 6-0, 6-1. Howell won her match 6-0, 6-0, while Wall held off South Johnston’s Lydia Boone 1-6, 6-4, 10-7.
The Golden Falcons’ No. 1 tandem Millard-Howell rolled past South Johnston’s Kayla Batten-Alyssa Newtron 8-2, and Wall-Presley Gray claimed an 8-6 victory in the No. 3 doubles match.
C.B. Aycock next hosts Fike today with first serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
