Wayne County gets a new site to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to citizens. 

Tuesday, the Wayne County Board of Commissioners approved the lease of the property at 1320 W. Grantham Street which the Health Department plans to use as a vaccination site. 

Assistant County Manager Chip Crumpler says the pending sale of the Bussmann Building means the county needs a new mass vaccination site.

The new location is a former Food Lion (in the shopping complex with the Tractor Supply Co.). 

The lease for the site is $100,000 annually. 

The county plans to utilize American Rescue Plan funds for the lease.
