Time to hang up another banner.
The Wayne Country Day girls’ golf team wrapped up its season by finishing as state runners-up during the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association DII State Championship meet held at Bryan Park Golf Club in Browns Summit.
The Chargers shot a team score of 227. Karsyn Roberts, who shot the lowest score of the meet, shot a 68. Ella Hannant finished with a 74. Anna Reimers carded an 85, while Madalyn Brown wound up with a 110.
The O’Neal School shot a team score of 219 to win the state title.
Roberts was also named the top Division II golfer, while Hannant earned all-state honors.
