Spring Creek finished the regular season with a 14-2-1 overall record, a 10-0 record in Neuse Six 2A Conference play and won its first conference title since 2014.
And Alex Carmona Morales is a big part of the Gators’ success on the soccer pitch this season.
“First of all, we played pretty well this season. We also had a positive mindset coming into the season,” Carmona Morales said.
He has scored a team-high 25 goals this season, but Carmona Morales is quick to credit his team and coaches for helping him have a successful season.
“I couldn’t do it without my team,” Carmona Morales said.
In 17 games this season, Carmona Morales has scored two or more goals in game six times. He scored seven goals against Eastern Wayne on Oct. 12, while he scored four goals against Beddingfield on Oct. 21.
Carmona Morales also scored four goals in the Neuse Six 2A Conference championship game against North Johnston on Oct. 27
“You can’t do it without a team. You play together,” Carmona Morales said. “You win together as a team.”
