UPDATE: Second Suspect Arrested For Attempted Murder In Goldsboro

(GDN) — Around 4 AM on November 10th, the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a shooting on the 500 block of N. Berkeley Blvd. A victim was located suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Wayne UNC Health Care and then later flown to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. The victim is in stable condition and has since been released.

The preliminary investigation revealed there was some sort of altercation between the victims and a male subject identified as 20-year-old Franklin J. Urbina-Quiroz of Dudley. During the altercation, Urbina-Quiroz allegedly shot at both 20-year-old Ian Garcia of Snow Hill and 20-year-old Carlos Marquez of Seven Springs. Marquez was struck during the shooting. The investigation also revealed that 19-year-old Liliana R. Selvan provided substantial assistance to Urbina-Quiroz in the commission of the offenses.

Warrants were secured for the arrest of Urbina-Quiroz and Selvan for two counts each of Attempted Murder. On Thursday, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office deputies and SWAT team members arrested Urbina-Quiroz without incident on the 100 block of Southern Drive in Dudley. Urbina-Quiroz was given a $1,000,000 secured bond. He is currently in the custody of the Wayne County Jail.

UPDATE: On Friday, Selvan turned herself into the Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigations Bureau with her attorney present. Selvan was taken before a Wayne County Magistrate where she received a $50,000 secured bond.
