The Princeton and Goldsboro cheerleading teams came away with hardware over the weekend at the NCHSAA Cheerleading Invitational at the Raleigh Convention Center.
The Bulldogs took first place in the Medium Varsity D2 category. Princeton scored 77 points to come in first place, Washington came in second with 75.23, while Eastern Randolph High School finished in third place with 56.3.
Goldsboro defeated West Columbus, Vance Charter and Mountain Island Charter to take home first place in the Medium Varsity Non-Tumble D2
The Cougars scored 69.5 points, followed by West Columbus’ 68.7, Vance’s 67.9 and Mountain Island’s 65.1.
C.B. Aycock placed fourth in the Large Varsity D1 category, while Southern Wayne competed in the Small Varsity D1 category.
