Due to icy conditions still impacting secondary roadways  – especially in the southern end of Wayne County – and the continued below freezing temperatures overnight preventing melting, Wayne County Public Schools will remain closed for students on Monday, January 24. It will be an optional workday for staff. All non-essential personnel will report to work two hours later than their normal starting time or will exercise one of the options listed in the district’s inclement weather guidelines which are included in a staff email and listed on the district website. Essential staff will report to their worksites at their regular time.
