The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating multiple vehicle break-in’s as well as residential break-in’s that occurred between Friday, January 28, and Sunday, January 30, in the La Grange area of Wayne County. At this time, detectives are following up on leads and believe there may be a connection between these cases and B&E cases that also occurred in Greene County over the weekend. Detectives have reached out to Greene County officials, and information is being shared between the agencies. The entered vehicles were all left unlocked, and the sheriff’s office would like to remind citizens always to keep their car doors locked and remove any valuables from the inside of their vehicle upon exiting.
