The North Carolina Science Festival is underway with over 300 hands-on science events for all ages across the state. WRAL-TV says the festival’s signature event, the UNC Science Expo, will be on the UNC Chapel Hill campus tomorrow. Hundreds of UNC scientists and researchers will host hands-on activities, demonstrations, lab tours, games, and performances.
Friday April 8th and Saturday 9th, the 35 hosts at state and local parks, colleges and universities, planetariums, science centers, nature centers, and libraries across North Carolina will offer free public skywatching events at the Statewide Star Party.
There will be hands on activities and amateur astronomers to share their telescopes and answer questions. This year’s theme is “Understanding the Universe,” with a focus on science and engineering related to NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope.
