Wayne Community College made the list of the top 20 community colleges in the United States. SmartAsset, an online financial technology company, has ranked Wayne Community College at number 19. According to the company, they analyzed data in areas of student-to-faculty ratio, graduation and transfer rates and the cost of tuition and fees.
Across all the 801 colleges in the study, the cost of two semesters of tuition and fees range from $1,095 to $13,232. Overall, about 47% of students across all schools in the study graduate or transfer to a four-year school. SmartAsset says out of the top 50 community colleges on the list, 27 are located in North Carolina.
