February 15, 2023, 71, Goldsboro –

Carolyn Diane Smith Corbett, 71, passed away at her home on Wednesday. She was the daughter of the late Riley and Luellen Worrell Smith and the wife of Selby Elijah Corbett. Mrs. Corbett was a great gardener, especially her blueberry bushes. She loved to pick her blueberries and give them away. Mrs. Corbett also enjoyed playing slot machines. When her great-grandbaby arrived, her whole world revolved around her.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service.  

In addition to her husband of 36 years, Mrs. Corbett is survived by her daughter, Marcie Worrell Davis(Jeff) of Dudley; stepdaughter, Sharon Mumford(Allen) of Goldsboro; brother, Buddy Smith(Becky); sister, Shelby Mitchell; grandsons, Brad Davis(Ashley) and Chad Davis; and a great-granddaughter, Aubrey Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Smith, and her sister, Lorraine Anderson.
