Boots 2 Business seminars are specifically for active-duty military, military dependents, and veterans. The entrepreneurial education and training program provides an overview of business ownership. Multiple in-person, two-day options are available: May 1-2, June 5-6, July 10-11, and Aug. 7-8. All are held 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on the college campus.
There is no charge for any Small Business Center seminar.

The Small Business Center is part of NC’s dynamic Small Business Center Network and a component of the Wayne Business and Industry Center (WBIC) at Wayne Community College. The WBIC offers “on time” and “on target” training, counseling, education, and technical services to business and industry in Wayne County. It involves all levels of business and professional organizations in the local community through several avenues: the Small Business Center, Military Business Center, Talent Recruitment/Career Development Customized Training, and Registered Apprenticeships.
