Conference Carolinas tournament champion Mount Olive bowed out of the 2023 NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Tournament with a 4-0 loss to regionally second-seeded and nationally 12th-ranked North Georgia.

The nationally 40th-ranked Trojans closed out their 2023 season with a 14-12 overall record. Southeast Region #2 host North Georgia (16-6) will next face the winner of the No. 3 Columbus State and No. 6 Tusculum matchup. The Southeast Region #2 final will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2. 

The first match of Southeast Region #2 opened with North Georgia taking the doubles point with wins at all three doubles positions. North Georgia garnered wins at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 singles to close out the match.
